Mit einer kleinen, aber feinen Konzertreise durch Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz feiert MONTREAL im Herbst 2023 den runden Bandgeburtstag und die Tatsache, dass es das Trio nun seit zwei Jahrzehnten in Originalbesetzung gibt.
„Wir drei machen seit unserer Schulzeit in genau dieser Konstellation Musik zusammen und dass sich daran bis heute nichts geändert hat und irgendwann sogar Leute angefangen haben, sich das anzuhören und auf Konzerte zu kommen, empfinden wir als großes Glück“, so Bassist/Sänger Hirsch „viele dürften aus der eigenen Erfahrung wissen, oder zumindest ahnen wie schwer es allein schon sein kann, über einen so langen Zeitraum als Freunde zusammen zu bleiben – dann auch noch eine Band so lange und mit so viel Spaß am Laufen halten zu können, ist alles andere als selbstverständlich – und das wollen wir dieses Jahr gründlich feiern“, schreibt die Band aus dem Studio.
Denn im Jubiläumsjahr wird einerseits mit der kleinen Tour durch ausgewählte Clubs und begleitet von Überraschungsgästen aus zwei Bandjahrzehnten die gemeinsame Vergangenheit gefeiert, andererseits aber eben auch schon Anlauf genommen für den Sprung ins dritte Bandjahrzehnt – und da hat MONTREAL einiges vor…
Post-Hardcore? Metalcore? Emo? Alternative-Rock? Die Antwort ist in allen Fällen ja – oder einfach GENERATION.F! Die aus Saarbrücken stammende Band kombiniert alle Genres mit Power und modernem Klang zu einem mächtigen melodischen und vor allem markanten Sound.
Seit der ersten Idee der Band im Jahr 2019 hat die Band einen beeindruckenden Weg zurückgelegt. Da in der ersten Zeit als Band aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie keine Liveauftritte möglich waren, nutze die Band diese Zeit um ihre Musik und auch sich selbst weiterzuentwickeln.
Mit dem richtigen Startschuss 2022 folgten dann deutschlandweite Auftritte und ihre ersten professionell produzierten Singles „BLACKMOON“ und „PULL ME DOWN“.
Innerhalb weniger Monate erreichten sie damit über 20.000 Hörer allein auf Spotify.
Mit der 2023 erschienenen Debut-EP „DREAMSCAPE“ hat die Band ihren bisher größten Meilenstein erreicht und ist noch lange nicht am Ende. Für 2024 ist einiges geplant!
KIDS IN A CAGE ist eine Cage Rockband aus Saarbrücken, die ihrer eigenen Vorstellung von Musik Ausdruck verleiht.
In ihrer Musik vereinen sie Einflüsse aus verschiedenen Bereichen wie Grunge, Alternative Rock, Nu Metal, aber auch Musiktheater und klassischer Musik. Da es schwer ist, sie nur einem Genre zuzuordnen, haben Moritz Kuhn (Gesang), Jakob Huber (Gitarre), Florian Schnepp (Bass) und Henry Pillong (Gitarre) kurzerhand ihr eigenes gegründet. In „Cage-Rock“ steckt jedoch mehr als nur die Definition eines neuen Genres. Es steht für den Ausbruch aus dem Käfig, ein entschleunigtes Lebensgefühl und die Schaffung einer Alternative zum mechanischen Alltag. KIDS IN A CAGE möchten ihre Zuhörer dazu inspirieren, dem täglichen Trott zu entfliehen und neue Perspektiven zu entdecken. Auf der Bühne überzeugen sie mit ihrer Nahbarkeit und Authentizität. Ihre Auftritte sind geprägt von Energie und Leidenschaft – es wird getanzt, geschrien, getobt und gelacht.
